FLEX Pro - Bodybuilding Season Kicks Off

It's been a few months since the IFBB pros have hit the stage, but that all ends today here in Santa Monica, California with the 2012 FLEX Pro. Three categories will get the fans ready for what is shaping up to be a very interesting year, with the men's open bodybuilding, fitness and added FLEX Bikini Model Search starting things off in this show.

In the bodybuilding, Lionel Beyeke is expected to bring a mix of mass and symmetry to the table and we will see how he and trainer Hany Rambod have done since they both agreed that skipping the 2011 Mr. Olympia - which Beyeke had qualified for - was the correct strategy.

Shawn Rhoden had a very impressive year and is hoping top make the jump to the next level with a top three placing here. Fouad Abiad took third right here a year ago and hopes to see more of the same.

Eduardo Correa Da Silva and Mark Dugdale have been competing in the 202 (now 212) category, but will go up against the bigger competition today. Conditioning has always been their forte and they will need to maintain that, as well as bring up some size to place well.
